Writing out loud
Writing Out
Loud is an
after-school activity that provides interested students a way to discover,
explore, and share their unique voices as writers, poets, actors, slam
performance artists, public speakers, and/or philosophers. Students
will write and/or perform original work as well as work by outside authors,
poets, and playwrights. Student writers are not required to censor their work before sharing it during club workshops; for this reason, only students who have written parent permission may participate in Writing Out Loud. There will be a teacher present during workshops and student writers are required to alert participants before sharing any work that contains graphic language or content; all members have the option to be excused if they prefer not to read or hear a particular piece of work.
