Expectations
1. BE ON-TIME, ENTER QUIETLY, and GET READY IMMEDIATELY:
a) Notebook, paper, pen/pencil, and planner ON your table
b) Electronics OFF (phones, music, tablets, etc…) and IN your backpack or purse
c) Backpacks, purses, hats, etc… UNDER your chair
d) Check the board for instructions/information; get started on the day’s work
2. CONTRIBUTE EFFECTIVELY and POSITIVELY
a) Listen actively during instruction and presentations
b) Ask for help when you need it
c) Respect people and property
d) Practice emotional intelligence (EQ)
3. SAVE class handouts, notes and returned work in a 3-ring notebook
4. DO NOT bring gum, food, or drinks (other than a water bottle) into the classroom
5. FOLLOW the school’s dress code policy
6. REMAIN seated until I dismiss class; then pack up (your belongings), pick up (any
trash), and push in (your chair).
